The Data Science degree is divided into:
• A core area of data science, which includes in particular the basics and compulsory modules from the fields of mathematics, data science, statistics and computer science
• An interdisciplinary compulsory elective area that combines data science with other disciplines in the context of connector modules
• An elective area to deepen methodical knowledge
• An inter-faculty elective area from the range of courses at the University of Regensburg
• A research area that conveys and promotes independent scientific work
