- Description/content
- During the study programme MSc in Civil Engineering – Bauingenieurwesen, you will deepen the skills you have learned so far in the field of civil engineering from a perspective of natural and engineering science. The ability to recognise and solve technical problems and tasks in their complexity determines your studies as much as the development of new types of solutions.
In your studies, you will develop the ability for interdisciplinary and international cooperation beyond professional, administrative and political boundaries as well as the ability to weigh different solutions, explain them objectively and understandably, to make decisions and justify them.
Thus, this degree opens up diverse and excellent opportunities in the international professional world or can be the basis for a doctorate and a research career.
Within the programme, you can chose from the following research subjects:
• Construction and maintenance of transport facilities
• Construction technologies and management
• Building construction and building physics
• Structural mechanics
• Geotechnics
• Water management
• Glass and façade technology
• Real estate valuation
• Solid construction
• Numerical methods and computer science in civil engineering
• Planning, design and operation of transport systems
