- Bucerius summer programmes are designed for advanced law students, recent graduates, and young professionals wishing to acquire in-depth knowledge in the fields of 1) licensing transactions in intellectual property, or 2) AI, legal technology and operations.
By joining one of the intensive three-week courses, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable intercultural communication skills by working in small groups with students from different legal backgrounds.

At the Bucerius Summer Programme in AI, Legal Technology & Operations, you’ll do more than just explore the theory — you’ll gain the skills, experience, and network to thrive in a rapidly changing legal landscape.

• Can we design routine contracts so that parties understand them without a lawyer?
• Can we teach machines to exercise due diligence?
• How can law firms use technology and alternative providers to boost their service offerings?

Learn to distinguish relevant information from hype: taking part in this programme will enable you to both understand why legal technology matters and join the current conversation between lawyers and technologists. At the end of your time in Hamburg, you will be able to use technology to tackle complexity and properly assess risk in a legal context.
All Bucerius summer programmes base their curricula on an interactive classroom experience, including small group discussions with lecturers and fellow participants. You will explore material from a comparative perspective and gain new insight into topics by exploring them with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds who represent a range of legal systems.
