- Studying in the Master's degree programme in Architecture at Hochschule Wismar University of Applied Sciences means working in small groups, being supported individually, being able to draw on an outstanding array of technical equipment, and, above all, being intensively involved in design.
In times in which the architect's occupational profile and sphere of action are in flux, the most important thing is to acquire decision-making skills and the ability to act responsible through study. It is crucial to integrate innovative knowledge and research in the fields of green building, ecology, economy, socio-cultural developments, technology, and digitalisation into the architectural design process.
The programme is organised around projects, and it is modular. It offers interdisciplinary teaching. Design projects dominate the course from the first semester to the last. For each of the first three semesters, a design project is the main focus that integrates various specialisations. Topics are as broad as the architect's tasks.
Students can choose from a variety of elective modules to broaden and deepen their knowledge.
