- The basic studies (first and second semesters) are taught in English.
An obligatory German language course takes place in the first year (thirteen hours/week + intensive language classes of 40 hours/week during the semester breaks).
The main studies (the third semester to the seventh semester) are taught in German. Therefore, a successful completion of the German language course is required. Selected elective courses may also be offered in English.

- In the state of Baden-Württemberg, international students who are not nationals of a European Union (EU) state or the European Economic Area (EEA) are required to pay tuition fees of 1,500 EUR per semester.
Tuition fee waivers will be granted automatically to students from the EU and EEA, i.e. no tuition fees apply.

- Mechatronic systems combine sensors, drives, information processing and a mechanical structure with communication technology and human-machine interfaces. Our students learn by an interdisciplinary approach to model and to design such systems, especially robots. They work in application-oriented, updated labs such as a pool of modern industry robots.
